Into The Woods

Hope you are doing well and enjoying your summer? It is Fall here in the Cape and getting quite chilly!
This week I am delighted to announce the arrival of a new PDF pattern, Into the Woods. This is something I have been working on for quite some time, and I hope you will love it. Into the Woods is a charming design which beckons us into the natural habitat of woodland creatures such as rabbits, snails, butterflies, mushrooms, flowers and plants that all live and grow together in harmony. This Sampler is an absolute joy to stitch!
The sampler is stitched in Needlepainting embroidery and includes instructions for padding and raising areas of the design to achieve a more realistic effect. The design can be stitched as a whole or individual aspects can be used to create smaller designs. There are instructions included for framing into a wooden hoop.
The pattern is quite comprehensive, including 35 pages of instructions and as always you can purchase an iron on transfer for it here.
Magnolia Chapter EGA
Leslie Brady of National EGA Chapter Charleston SC sent in these photos of the class that she taught using my patterns Royal and Mini Owl from the book ‘White Work with Color’. Its wonderful to see the ladies hard at work on their stitching, but lots of laughter also! I see an old friend in the photos: Betsy Morgan of Willing Hands who I have met several times at BATB in Australia. Leslie mentioned that “several of the participants usually only do counted work or cross-stitch and they did a beautiful job with your instructions!” That’s great to know Leslie, looks like you had a fun workshop, thanks so much for sharing!
FYI I am always happy to collaborate with teachers from other parts of the world to teach affiliated classes either, privately or through guilds. There are several teachers who already teach classes on my behalf in Europe, USA and Canada – as I can’t be there in person this works beautifully. You can find more information on this here.
Graduation Day
Nicole Stauffer wrote a review saying that she wanted to decorate her graduation cap with something different, so decided to stitch it with various flower patterns from my collection. She shared some photos of it, which I wanted to share with you, and I am sure we can all agree it is the most beautiful graduation cap ever, and so much work went into it!
