Workshops & Classes

Can I do a class/workshop with you in person.

At present I am unable to offer live classes.  Due to time restrictions I teach a limited number of workshops every year, at conventions or specific overseas and local events.  Details of these will be posted well in advance on my blog.  Sign up to receive email notifications here.

Do you offer private Tuition or Zoom classes

Unfortunately, this is not something I am able to offer at present, as we have numerous power outages and the internet connection can be spasmodic in South Africa.  I am working on providing video classes and will keep you updated on my Blog. 

Affiliated Workshops

I encourage those who have extensive experience with Needlepainting and Whitework to provide workshops and teach my patterns on my behalf, as it is not possible to be with you in person. There are many Guilds and craft stores throughout the world that conduct workshops with my permission and it works wonderfully!  

If you wish to teach a workshop on my behalf for your guild or a shop you will receive a 50% discount on the patterns needed for the number of students.  You can print out the patterns for each student and make up kits.  You are welcome to charge whatever you feel is fair for the cost of the workshop, I do not require any payment all I ask is that you acknowledge me as the source and purchase the required number of PDF patterns from my site.

Distance Learning Classes

I do offer distance learning classes that can be worked on from the comfort of your own home at your own pace.  These are available for all levels and you can register for a class here.

These classes are designed to be worked remotely and include all the instructions, and resources you will need. The pattern and instructions for these class are provided as a PDF digital download which can be printed out or viewed on your tablet/PC.  They are not in video format but there are some video links in the instructions. The notes include a list of materials required and a tracing outline for the pattern.  

You will have password access to a private Members area which contains hints, tips  and some videos from your tutor to help with this project. 

Do you offer private assessment for distance learning classes

Each class includes one private assessment either during or at the completion of the class. 

How can I learn this style of embroidery without attending a class?

There are many available ways to learn this style of embroidery without attending a class. There are various tutorials and lessons to purchase or download, which will allow you to learn from the comfort of your own home, at your own pace.
