I am a Mum of three beautiful daughters and live with my husband in Cape town, South Africa. I work from my home studio , with beautiful views of trees and mountains. I am grateful every day to be inspired by my surroundings and to do what I love most. In the last two decades I have published several books, created embroidery patterns, tutorials, videos and taught both at home and abroad. My motto is "Embroidery Forever, Housework Whenever".

I am first and foremost an artist and love to draw, design and come up with new approaches to embroidery and textile art. From time to time I make some of my original embroideries available for sale.

Over the years I have worked hard to source the best materials and to provide carefully crafted embroidery patterns that are designed to encourage others to grow in their love for embroidery. I spend hours researching subject matter and regularly introduce new patterns to keep everyone busy!

In an effort to contribute to a more sustainable world, I use natural fabrics and eco-friendly packaging wherever possible. Most of my embroidery patterns are provided as PDF digital downloads. PDF patterns are a quick and easy way of gaining access to a new embroidery project without waiting for it to be shipped.

My first book was published in 2001 with Sally Milner Publishers n Australia. Since then I have published a book on average every 2- 3 years a total of 9 books. in 2018 I signed a contract with Search Press in UK who have just released my first title: The Kew Book Of Embroidered Flowers.

I have taught at many different venues and embroidery conventions around the world and of course locally in South Africa.
