My Aviary

I've thoroughly enjoyed making these birds. I've just bought the woodlands fawn pattern and starting that next. Trish Burrs books explain how to do these gorgeous projects so well. Every detail matters. Each project is stitched as my chaotic life rolls on so each embroidery tells a story of a chapter in my life. This makes embroidery so precious. Thank you Trish Burrs for keeping me sane and kindly sharing your knowledge. For the first time I my life I'm proud of something I've made.

Hi Maria, thank you so much for your lovely words! You should be very proud your embroideries are beautiful. Happy stitching with the Woodland Fawn next!

Beautiful

I bought the book andI dared starting by the most difficult pattern, this bird ! Waouh, it's stunning, seems like it's looking at you ! I found a new passion, up to now i practiced what is called "boutis", the real one, like those made by our grand-mothers here in Provence ! This new passion is fantastic and I spend hours on it ! Thank you so much

Beginner’s luck

I handled the tail part pretty well but that log...might have to rip out. Any tips on that.
