Hello everyone, hope you have had a good week and looking forward to the weekend!

Cosmo Introductory Packs

The Cosmo floss packs are finally available and in the shop. There are six limited edition thread packs with 12 skeins of Cosmo floss in each: Golden Wheat, Blue Lagoon, Red Camellia, Moody Blues, Leafy Greens, Lavender.

Cosmo is a high quality stranded cotton embroidery floss, made in Japan. It has 500 shades of colour which comprises a stunning selection of light to dark shades including many shades that are missing in the DMC and Anchor collection.  They have a brilliant sheen, are an absolute joy to work with and I hope to use more of them in future designs.

Golden Wheat

I have been working closely with Cosmo Lecien in Japan over the last year to help launch their stunning range of stranded cottons globally. I absolutely love their range of colours which are presented in a comprehensive range of light to dark shades, which as you know I use extensively in my Needlepainting and Whitework designs.

Blue lagoon
Red Camellia

In 2022 I was commissioned by Cosmo Lecien to design introductory thread packs.  I designed these packs of co-ordinated shades to achieve a smooth gradation of shading for any embroidery project where shading is required, specifically  Needlepainting. The first packs were introduced at the Needlework Expo in October last year and were sold out. Cosmo has since introduced a further three packs and I am the first to be able to offer all six packs for sale. These Packs are a limited edition and available whilst stocks last.

Moody Blues
Leafy Greens

The Majestic Kudu

This year saw the introduction of a new Whitework with colour embroidery pattern, The Majestic Kudu. This is stitched in beautiful moody blues and greens which contrast beautifully with the white. The male Greater kudu is a large antelope found in mixed scrub woodland acacia, and mopane bush in eastern and southern Africa.

There is an optional iron on transfer for this design here.

Till next time wherever you are in the world, keep smiling and happy stitching!
