King Fisher thread painting

This pattern and directions are very easy to follow-I'm a self taught needle worker and I'm unlearning incorrect skills. thanks! Love it !!

Kingfisher - beginner

This pattern has beautiful step by step photos with close ups and easy for a beginner to follow (ask me 😂). These close ups photos Trish has provided give a detailed view on the colour strands.
I just need to remind myself to back slip stitch on outline (forgot this on the bud), and to use two strands on the first layer to give it a fuller appearance. Since purchasing this pattern, I have also purchased her Long and Short Embroidery book. I saw needle painting earlier this year but never thought it was something I could do. Thank you, Trish, for teaching this art!
